Long lasting luggage and accessories made in a sustainable way has been at the heart of everything we do since 2010, when Restrap was born out of the need for pedal straps that would never break, made from recycled seatbelt. This ethos hasn't changed in all those years, and runs through everything we make. 

Fabrics 

Here at Restrap we use top-of-the-line fabrics and materials in the construction of all our products. We leave no stone unturned when it comes to sourcing the best materials available, because we know our bags need to be able to handle anything that’s thrown at them. 

We’ve pioneered the use of cutting edge fabrics in the world of bikepacking, being amongst the first on the market to use 1000D textured nylon fabrics, X-Pac® fabrics derived from sailcloth technology, and ultra durable Hypalon.

The details

We have a well earned reputation for our construction techniques, which means our bags will last. If you look closely, you’ll find small details that make a huge difference to the lifespan of a product:

• Bar Tacks in places of high stress and strain maintain the strength of fixtures and fittings.
• Waterproof binding on all structural stitching means our bags hold their shape, and effectively stitches them together twice. Our binding is waterproof and made from durable Nylon.
• Overstitches and back-tacking mean that any straps, fittings or labels are held securely in place.
• All our products are fully lined for double protection. 
• Durable YKK Aquaguard zips mean our zips are durable and dependable, keeping water out wherever possible. 
• High quality fittings and components
• We use Nylon thread, which is incredibly strong
• Hypalon detailing in areas of high wear on certain products, adding even more longevity.
